Strath Haven Middle School students make a difference to honor Dr. King

State Rep. Leanne Krueger-Braneky, D-161 of Swarthmore, who was elected to the House in the special election in August, visited the school to see first-hand the good deeds and to help participate herself.
“Martin Luther King Jr. Day is an important day of service and I wanted to be of use,” Krueger-Braneky said.
Running a campaign based heavily on the budget impasse in Harrisburg, Krueger-Braneky said her focus continues to be education in Delaware County, in which she briefly detailed the “very frustrating” process of getting a budget passed.
“We’re still fighting, I thought we could come to a solution,” Krueger-Braneky said. “Here in Wallingford-Swarthmore very little of the budget comes from state revenue, but there are other schools in Delaware County, particularly on the eastern end, who may not be able to open … unless we solve this.”
Yet, her visit was in good spirits and she took the opportunity to address the students and sing their praises.
